What:

The StartupXLR8R will catalyze venture creation via a facilitated, 36-hour code/design/pitch sprint concluding in presentations by founders to angels. The result will be new early stage investments, new relationships, and new business approaches of all kinds.

iStrategyLabs will source, vet and facilitate the founders and investors participating in the accelerator. iStrategyLabs may also provide promising startup teams with office space and mentorship in their Dupont Cirlce office.

You are welcome to apply with a pre-existing prototype/concept in hand. The more prepared your team is prior to the StartupXLR8R the better.

Who:

20 teams (max 4 members), 10+ Investors. Applicant teams will be vetted by iStrategyLabs and invited to participate.

When:

Start: Saturday, February 26th, 2011 (8am to 8pm)

End: Sunday, February 27th, 2011 (8am to 8pm)

(Investors will hear pitches from 4pm to 6pm on 2/27. If you're an invited investor, please arrive around 3:30pm)

Why:

Because we need to create more businesses and this is a good way to do it. Participants will have direct access to investors who have $20,000,000+ early stage funding to put to work in 2011. The average investment size ranges from $25,000 to $2,000,000.

How:

1. Applications will be accepted until 2/8/2011. Fill out an application by grabbing a "Request an Invitation" ticket.
   
2. Teams will be invited to participate by 2/10/2011.
3. Pitches will start at 4pm on 2/27 - investors may meet with founders directly after pitches conclude, or schedule time to follow up.
